An open and multicultural society
On the fault line of the Latin and Germanic cultures, Wallonia-Brussels boasts a long tradition of openness. Belgium is in fact the most globalised country in the world according to the ranking drawn up by the Swiss Economic Institute (Kof). Proof of this diversity can be found above all in the country’s federal structure, which brings together three linguistic communities: French (Wallonia-Brussels), Flemish and German speaking.
