Université libre de Bruxelles

A multicultural university with a high proportion of foreign students (almost one third), the Université libre de Bruxelles cultivates its international credentials, just like Brussels, a cosmopolitan city par excellence. With its 13 faculties, schools and specialised institutes, the ULB covers all disciplines, closely associating teaching and research. It offers almost 40 undergraduate programmes (BA) and 235 undergraduate programmes (Master’s) and participates in 20 Graduate Schools, where almost 1600 doctorates are underway. With three Nobel prizes, a Fields medal, three Wolf prizes in physics, two Marie Curie prizes and 30% of the Francqui prizes awarded, the ULB is also a prestigious research university that is held in high esteem by the international academic community. A French-speaking University, most of the courses at the Université libre de Bruxelles are taught in French although some Master’s programmes are conducted partially or entirely in English, or in other languages.
