Who can submit a project and what is the minimum partnership?

The project must be submitted by a member of a higher education institution (HEI) in the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles (FWB) and authorised by the latter to coordinate the project with at least one partner in another HEI in the FWB and one partner from a higher education institution in one of the countries on the list below:

  • In Africa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, DR Congo, Madagascar, Morocco, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal.
  • In South America and the Caribbean: Bolivia, Cuba, Ecuador, Haiti, Peru.
  • In South-East Asia: Cambodia, Philippines, Vietnam.

Each project coordinator in FWB may submit only one project per call.

Objectives of Development Research Projects (DRP)

  • To strengthen the research and relay capacities of a partner institution.
  • To provide a research response to a local, national or even regional development issue that goes beyond the boundaries of the academic world.
  • Strengthen fundamental, targeted and applied research.
  • To ensure the dissemination and, where appropriate, the exploitation of research results.

Objectives of the Southern Training Projects (PFS)

  • Strengthen the training capacities and offering of a partner institution.
  • To validate new pedagogical approaches and adapt curricula in areas that will contribute to the development of the partner institution or local, national or regional society.
