Today, HELHa is the largest University College in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. HELHa aims to become a key player in higher education in French-speaking Belgium, training professionals with high added value: expertise, self-fulfilment and solidarity. To become a benchmark, our University College is putting in place conditions promoting the success of its students, at academic, professional and personal levels. The aim is to train professionals who are in step with developments in the world of work and society, while maintaining a welcoming and friendly atmosphere.
In a nutshell, HELHa is :
- 4 separate departments, namely the Department of Arts, Business and Communication, the Department of Health and Medical Technologies, the Department of Education and Social Work and the Department of Sciences and Life Technologies;
- 60 short courses (3 to 4 years with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree) and long courses (5 years with a Master’s degree);
- 15 locations in the Charleroi, Mons, Tournai and Walloon Brabant areas; • A wide range of support services for students (via the social unit, psychological unit, sports unit, inclusion unit, guidance and reorientation unit, student entrepreneurs unit, international office, documentation centre, etc.);
- Numerous contacts with companies in both the public and private sectors;
- An average of 10,000 students per academic year;
- Over 2,000 graduates per year;
- And a wide range of career opportunities for our students, who have developed all the skills and softskills they need to be immediately effective in the job market.
