Financial support for the beneficiary is capped at 10,000 euros per academic year. This lump sum may cover: application fees, tuition fees, learning materials including dissertation fees, the purchase of syllabi and books, computer consumables, etc., international transport costs up to a maximum of one return economy class ticket for the duration of the programme, installation costs including the purchase of household equipment up to a maximum of 125 euros, local travel costs in connection with the studies and/or accommodation costs up to a maximum of 400 euros per month without the rental guarantee.

Beneficiaries of the financial support will pay the same tuition fees as Belgian and European students.

The financial support will be paid in three instalments during the academic year into a euro-denominated account.

  • The first instalment, equivalent to 50% of the total amount, will be paid on arrival in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation to start the targeted academic year and based on a declaration of arrival from the host institution.
  • A second instalment of 25% will be paid at the end of January.
  • Payment of the final 25% instalment will be conditional on successful completion of the academic year and submission of a written and/or video testimonial of the applicant's study experience in the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. The applicant agrees to the dissemination of this testimonial by WBI and Wallonie-Bruxelles Campus on its various communication media: website, activity report, Instagram, Facebook, X, brochures, etc.

Financial support is granted for one academic year:

  • In the case of a Master 60, financial support is granted for a maximum of one year.
  • In the case of a Master 120, financial support is granted for a maximum of two years, i.e. 1 grant of a maximum of 10,000 euros per academic year, on condition that a minimum of 54 credits are validated at the end of the first year in order to continue payment of the financial support during the second year; if this is not the case, the financial support is definitively stopped.

In addition, Wallonie-Bruxelles International provides health insurance with mutual subrogation, repatriation and civil liability for the grant holder.
