Researchers from the Université libre de Bruxelles (ULB), led by Prof. François Fuks, have unveiled a revolutionary gene regulation mechanism, combining DNA and RNA epigenetics.

Published in the prestigious journal Cell, this discovery reveals that these two processes, long studied separately, actually work together in a complementary way. This could transform our understanding of diseases like cancer and pave the way for more precise targeted therapies.

This breakthrough holds the promise of improving cancer treatments by targeting both mechanisms simultaneously to correct the dysfunctions that cause the disease.

Congratulations to the ULB - Université libre de Bruxelles, l’ULB-Cancer Research Center and the Institut Jules Bordet for this remarkable scientific achievement!
